Preparing an application for the JET Programme can be somewhat time-consuming so applicants are strongly advised to allow plenty of time to do this. Applicants are advised to carefully read all the guidelines in the application section in order to prepare their application.
The UK JET Programme strongly encourages applicants to use the online application form. This can be accessed via our homepage from October until the closing date for applications on the last Friday of November. In addition to submitting an application form, applicants must supply an application pack by post, including a number of pieces of supporting documentation, all of which are essential. This must all reach the JET Desk by the deadline on the last Friday of November. Applicants are advised to start preparing the required material well in advance of the deadline. Please be aware that incomplete applications without the necessary supporting documentation cannot proceed to the screening stage.
It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure that their application is complete and all required documentation is included accordingly before submission. Please be aware that documents CANNOT be returned.
All application packs must be submitted to the JET Desk at the Embassy of Japan in London - this also applies to applicants wishing to be interviewed in Edinburgh. You can either send your application pack or deliver it by hand to the Front Desk at the Embassy. We strongly recommend that you use a recorded delivery service when sending your application pack in order to ensure that it reaches us safely.
We ask for your patience in reading through all the instructions.
